With a 6mx5.2m long cyclorama, as well as right angled wall options (6.3mx4m), high ceilings, natural light options (large window and overhead skylights), and a mobile double sided wall (2.8mx3m), Studio Tropico caters for every project - stills/motion/social content & photography based events.

Being centrally located within Byron Bay’s Industrial estate, cafe’s and catering are in close proximity to the studio.

The space can be hired along with a full list of photographic equipment available for rent.

The hire rate includes the use of tables and clothing racks, poly boards and light stands (but does not include any photographic lighting or modifiers, boom or c-stands, paper rolls or the use of the steamer. These may be rented through the studio - or you can provide your own gear).

The studio is open Monday to Friday 9-5.

Weekends and outside of opening hours available on request with additional loading.

Rollable natural light windows

Tropico’s feature windows can be used throughout the shoot to create the perfect scene. The doors slide open or can remain static. The space offers great natural light all day long with streaming sunlight from the North-East at sunrise to late morning and then a beautiful soft bounce from the carpark wall in the afternoon, meaning you don’t need to set up a light at all if you don’t want to.

Dedicated hair and makeup area, styling space and change room.

Our hair and makeup area has ample room for a team to set up with mirrors, beauty lighting and privacy curtains. You’ll also have full use of our meeting and chill-out area, bathroom and kitchenette, clothing racks, steamers, air conditioning and off-street parking.

Colours paper rolls and equipment hire

Add some colour to your shoot and hire a coloured paper roll. We offer a full spectrum of colours, please email us for more information. In our equipment hire inventory we offer a choice of Profoto strobe lighting, constant lighting and a full range of rental equipment.

Blank canvas studio space

Our 5.2m long cyclorama, right angled wall option (6.3x3.8m) and 4+m high walls, natural light or block out the light means there are endless shoot opportunities. Need a shoot corner? Roll in the mobile wall in and you have every shoot possibility at your disposal.
